Damiana is a woody shrub with small green leaves and aromatic, yellow flowers. It has a somewhat bitter flavor with an aroma similar to chamomile: slightly sweet, and mildly earthy. It’s native to the subtropical climates of southern Texas, Mexico, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean.
