As the calendar turns to October, the air begins to vibrate with an otherworldly energy. Samhain, celebrated on October 31st, marks the thinning of the veil – a sacred time when the boundary between our world and the realm of the ancestors becomes diaphanous.

In ancient cultures, Samhain was a powerful moment to honor those who came before us and seek their guidance and blessings. As we stand at the threshold of a new year, this ritual offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with our beloved dead, heal ancestral wounds, and manifest positive change in the year to come.

This Samhain, Magdalenas Botanica will be performing a special Ancestor Ritual to harness the potent energy of the thinning veil. We invite you to participate by submitting a petition, and we’ll include your intentions in our sacred ceremony.

To participate, please email magdalenaspetitions@gmail.com with the following information:

1. Your full name (including maiden name, if applicable)
2. Your date of birth
3. A brief description of your petition – what do you wish to release, heal, or manifest in the coming year?

Your petition will be offered to the ancestors alongside rituals of respect, gratitude, and invocation. As we bridge the worlds, your intentions will be carried on the wings of prayer and the smoke of sacred herbs, supported by the collective energy of our community.

In the days following Samhain, we’ll share a report detailing the ritual and guidance for integrating the blessings and wisdom received from the ancestors.
