She has a medical background and also has traveled the world to play soccer professionally in South America. Currently the buyer for Magdalena’s, she travels to Egypt, New Orleans, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, and many more to bring back the best quality of spiritual products. She is a master of court case, law stay away and money work.
Extasis Bouton
Extasis Bouton (wife to Kieyondra) is the owner of Magdalena’s Botanica. She started her spiritual journey in the womb, as her mother states supernatural events started happening around her during pregnancy. Growing up, she knew she was different and started her studies on ESP, angels, psychics, the occult, and hoodoo in elementary school, at a time when this was not heard of for such a young age. Extasis is Haitian, Mexican, African American, and her biological grandfather was Native American. Hoodoo is generational in her family, often hidden behind the Baptist church and practiced in the home. Her grandmother would use her Florida water, Indio spray, lucky talismans for gambling at Overhill Lake, and kept her oil lamps burning. Opening this space in 2020 was to create a home for all spiritualists, but mainly for BIPOC who have less representation in the spiritual communities. “I did not want commercial spirituality. I wanted to, and have succeeded, in being the only black-owned botanica and the youngest owner in the city of Richmond. I remember going in places and instantly feeling unwanted, not greeted, or met with the ‘get the fuck out’ energy. So I wanted to create a space for all my black and brown people. I wanted a space where you wouldn’t be judged on hoodoo, ATR’s, the occult, and conjure. We pride ourselves on getting people what they need and not just items to make a sale. We are spiritualists NOT salespeople.”
